The extra sign-in code
Why we ask for a code from an app on your phone.
Your documents are private, so as well as your password we ask for a six-digit code from an authenticator app on your phone. It means nobody can get in with just your password.
Setting it up (once)
- Install an authenticator app, such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator, from your phone's app store.
- When we show you a square QR code, open the app, choose to add an account, and point your camera at the code.
- Type the six-digit code the app shows.
Each time you sign in after that, open the app and type the code it shows.
New or lost phone?
Contact your lawyer. They'll arrange for it to be reset, and you set it up again next time you sign in.
Still stuck? Contact the law firm that invited you; their details are at the foot of your page.
