Two-step sign-in
Why we use an authenticator app, how to set it up, and what to do if you lose your phone.
Because Matter Folio holds sensitive financial documents, signing in needs your password and a code from an authenticator app on your phone.
Setting it up
The first time you sign in you'll be asked to set it up:
- Install an authenticator app if you don't have one (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, 1Password and others all work).
- Scan the QR code shown on screen with the app.
- Enter the six-digit code the app shows.
From then on, after your password you'll be asked for the current code.
You can change your authenticator any time from your account menu (top right), Security.
Lost or replaced your phone?
Contact your firm admin or our support team. Once we've confirmed it's you, we reset your authenticator and you set it up again next time you sign in. You'll get an email to say it was reset.
